Other falls that could have been heard in the village during Jewett’s day would have been those at Salmon Falls and at nearby Driscoll’s or Smith’s Brook (Salmon Falls Brook), at Great Works (Rocky Gorge) and at Leigh’s Mills (Varney’s Mills).
